The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is the world’s first ever net zero carbon sport. Over the years, Formula E has grown significantly, attracting millions of fans around the world with its fully-electric cars that reach impressive speeds without the environmental toll. It comes as no surprise, of course, as it generates the same hair-raising excitement of any motorsport. Everyone can experience the thrill, drama, and adrenaline rush of every turn with the cars racing for the lead in urban environments of some of the world’s most iconic cities.
As Official Founding and Logistics Partner, DHL handles the logistics requirements of Formula E organizers and teams, transporting over 415 tons of freight – including all race cars, batteries and charging units, media, and broadcasting equipment – to host venues around the world. From the very beginning, DHL instinctively understood Formula E’s vision to raise public awareness on e-mobility and lead the transition towards smart cities and low-carbon lifestyles. We help Formula E push the boundaries of sustainability with a tailored, multi-modal transport approach that maximizes efficiency and further reduces its carbon footprint.
Our partnership with Formula E goes beyond logistics. DHL is proud to be part of Formula E’s mission to inspire and engage a global audience on sustainability. That’s why we’ve teamed up to create our very own “Together Green Award” which recognizes sustainability heroes from all over the world who are doing their part to make the world a better place. Together with our Legacy Programme, we work with Formula E to accelerate positive change and give back to the local community. Such initiatives include Tree Planting, Community Engagement, and promoting gender equality through FIA Girls on Track.
