Italian Grand Prix

Welcome to the F1® Logistics Hub

Did you know?

Race behind the race

One week after Zandvoort, all eyes turn to Monza. The Italian Grand Prix has featured in every F1 World Championship since 1950, with Monza hosting all but one edition. Monza is F1’s benchmark for top speed. Its long straights, heavy braking zones, and historic corners like the Lesmos and Parabolica demand a pure low-downforce setup. With average lap speeds often exceeding 240 km/h, the race consistently delivers some of the fastest action of the season.

The Italian Grand Prix also marks the end of the European leg. After Monza, Formula 1 begins its global tour, starting with Azerbaijan and continuing through Asia and the Americas before the Middle East finale. The late-season run includes one double-header and one triple-header: United States–Mexico in October and Las Vegas-Qatar–Abu Dhabi in late November and early December.

Logistics take center stage here. While the European races rely on DHL’s biofuel-powered trucks, Monza is the pivot point for the switch to air and sea freight. With around 1,200 tons of freight moved per race, DHL ensures that the cars, equipment, and team infrastructure are delivered seamlessly around the world, supporting Formula 1’s and DHL’s joint goal of becoming net zero by 2030.
